These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Motlyze (the “Service”), a UK MOT History Checker that helps you understand MOT test history, mileage trends, and related status information.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Using the Service

  • You may search vehicle registrations to view summarised MOT history information.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that any registration numbers you enter are accurate and appropriate.
  • The Service is provided for informational purposes. It does not constitute advice, a recommendation, or a guarantee.

3. MOT Data and Limitations

The Service displays MOT-related information sourced from the DVSA MOT History API (or any successor service). While we aim to present information clearly, we do not control the underlying data or how it is updated.

We make no warranty that the information will be complete, up-to-date, error-free, or suitable for any specific purpose. You should always verify critical details before relying on them.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, code, and other content, is owned by us or used with permission, and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written permission.

5. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to access the Service in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or, if none, ten pounds sterling).
